The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially slated August 1, 2021, for the commencement of the 2021 Inter-regional and Inter/Intra-district re-posting or transfer processes.
According to an official release issued by the service, it indicated that these new changes are due to the changes in the academic calendar. However, re-posting OF GES staff will take effect take effect from January 2022.
The GES has also explained that reposting is done at the end of the academic year in order not to disrupt the flow of teaching and learning. Since the academic year now starts in January and ends in December, the reposting process cannot begin during the usual period.
Completed applications for Inter-Regional Postings should be forwarded to the GES Headquarters by 30th September 2021.
GES staff who will be seeking for 2021 transfer are urged to note that one can only be released after the Director-General has approved and issued out a re-posting letter to the applicant.
The time for inter-regional posting will delay because all application for assurance letters will be send to the regional directors for approvals before the district or municipal can release the assurance back to teacher for processing..Please these directives will delay us and up to now, the assurance has not been given yet. How will those going for inter regional transfer process their documents. This appending of signature for approvals by regional directors will make things difficult. Director general show give back the authority to the municipals, metro and district directors to issue assurance without the regional approving them by issuing to the said teacher..There are so many work loads in the region that the directors must work on.
