The Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) has issued the salary payment and validation date for July 2022.
Government or public sector workers are paid by the government through the CAGD every month but have to follow due process before salaries are paid.

About 2022 CAGD Monthly Validation of Salaries
In December 2019, the Controller and Accountant General (CAG) announced that it has rolled out the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (E-SPV) system.
The CAGD then indicated that employees in the public sector will only be paid by the CAGD if both Heads of Management Units and Human Resource (HR) officers defined on the E-SPV system have validated their wages for the month. Employees operating under those Management Units would not be paid by the system if Heads of Management Units and HR officers did not validate their pay.
As a result, the CAGD has advised heads of departments to pay close attention to the validation process and ensure that Heads of Management Units and HR officers validate the salaries for each month.
What Happens to Employees who are not Pad as Result of Non-Validation?
Employees who do not get their salaries in July due to non-validation of their wages by the Heads of Management Units and HR officers will be paid the next month once the salaries have been validated by the Heads of Management Units and HR officers.
July CAGD Validation Portal and Payment of Salaries-2022
According to the CAGD calendar for 2022, the July Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) validation window is slated to open on July 17th and run through July 20th. Salaries are expected to be paid between the 26th and the 31st of July, depending on the employee’s bank.
