CAGD to organize training for validators on the sanitization and authentication of monthly validation

The Controller and Accountants General Department (CAGD) is set to conduct a nationwide audit for reactivation purposes for civil servants. According to CAGD, it is a response to the feedback received after the nationwide Payroll and Personnel Verification Audit conducted in 2018 from various Government Departments on the issue.

Employees of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Local Government Service, Ghana Education Service, and National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), etc. who were affected by the audit, continue to visit our office for reactivation purposes even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Ghana Audit Service has resolved to bring closure to this exercise. As a result, a team of auditors will visit the various Regional Offices from 12 to 17 July 2021 to investigate and validate legitimate officers who were affected by the exercise to prevent further visits and requests.

The management of CAGD has further cautioned that any affected officer who does not take advantage of this last opportunity, can only have his/her name reinstated through the court because the Auditor General will activate the power of disallowance on their existence in the system and has therefore entreated all affected employees in the various civil service establishments to treat this with utmost seriousness.
