The initiative is aid validators in the generation and submission of monthly reports of Electronic Salary Payment vouchers validated. The training will however begin in the Northern Region and later cut across the other regions.
This key policy initiative being implemented by CAGD is to sanitize the entire payroll system and to ensure the authenticity of the validations done monthly.
In view of this, the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship is organizing a two-day workshop for the validators and heads of institutions within the public service on how to effectively generate and submit the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) platform.
A statement intercepted by Educandghana.net and signed by the Programme Director at CAGD, Mrs. Felicia Ansah indicates that the workshop is intended to educate participants in the following areas;
Generation and submission of monthly mandatory ESPV report, statistical and financial reports; Updates on emerging issues in the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (Picture validation, E-Payslip, etc.); Movement of staff from wrong Management unit to appropriate management unit; Processing of promotion and upgrading monetary compensation for public servants; Procedures for processing some salary-related issues; Management of payroll frauds; Transactional report management of mechanized payroll;
However, this training is being organized for all validators of the various MDAs and MMDAs on the government payroll within the Northern Region. The two-day COMPULSORY workshop training is set to cost each participant an amount of GH₵450.
The programme which has been scheduled to commence in the five MDAs and MMDAs in the northern region is slated as follows;
