The National Teaching Council (NTC) in a press statement signed by the Registrar, Christian Addai-Poku and sighted by Educandghana.net indicates that it will commence the nationwide issuance of Teacher License and Registration Numbers for both public and private school teachers. This exercise will begin in the Greater Accra Region at the circuit centres from Monday 17th May. 2021. Detailed schedule is available on tpg.ntc.gov.gh and all NTC Social media handles.
The Ministry of Education, the National Teaching Councll and the Ghana Education Service will launch the Teacher License and Registration programme on Friday, 14th May, 2021 at the Ministers Conference Room (MOE). The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum will be the Guest of Honour.
Qualified teachers, in the context of the current exercise, refers to teachers who have been trained and certified as teachers by accredited colleges and universities that train teachers.
The council has however revealed that non-qualified teachers temporary licensing shall follow after registration of qualified teachers.
