December 2022 Salary and Allowance Payment Countdown For All Public Sector Workers in Ghana
The Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) has indicated that it will issue payment of December 2022 salaries as earlier as possible due to the coming Christmas festive season.
The month of December sees early payment because of the Yuletide. This is to enable workers to make the necessary arrangements for the season.
This means that the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) portal is expected to be activated between December 16 and 17, 2022. However, it is important to note that cost-of-living allowances will be paid for this month.
Under normal circumstances, this month could have been the last for the payment of the said allowance, but due to conditions issued by the government with regard to the increment in the 2023 base pay, it will be in existence till there is a turnaround in the economy.
In short, the payments that will be made this month include a single spine salary; cost of living allowances; SSS teacher retention premium.
