The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has begun sending messages to qualified applicants who will be trained as enumerators for the 2021 Population and Housing Census (PHC). Currently, some qualified persons have started receiving invitation messages for the training. Individuals who excelled are set to receive the said messages which will qualify them to partake in the upcoming training which is set to commence on the 31st of May,2021. Persons are to attend the training with their valid ID card and nose mask.
GSS is set to pay all 2021 Prospective Census Field Officers/Enumerators via G-Money hence directed to register by visiting the nearest Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) to do so. NOTE: G-Money is the only agreed means of payment of Enumerators for 2021
VIEWS OF DISTRICT CENSUS OFFICERS (DCOs)
A District Census Officer (DCO) who spoke to Educandghana today, Saturday, 29th May 2021 indicated that they are still waiting for the list of Enumerators from the GSS Headquarters. He additionally indicated that they don’t know if the headquarters will select individual trainees or a bulk list will come directly from the headquarters so that they can call for invitations at the district level.
