The government of Ghana in collaboration with the teacher unions and the Ghana Education Service (GES) came to consensus to distribute laptops to all in-service teachers in the country. The intention behind this intervention is to enhance perfect delivery of lessons by teachers as far as the new curriculum is concerned.

Although, none of the stakeholders involved in this amazing intervention could give a specific date as to when the said laptops will be distributed.

Unconfirmed reports sighted by Educandghana.net indicates that the long awaited laptops have arrived safely in the country and the Ministry of Education (MOE) is currently installing some vital Educational materials on to it before it is distributed.

According to the report, the actual distribution will take off hopefully in the middle of July 2021.

However, the Professional Development Allowance(PDA) will also be paid tentatively in July or August 2021 the report indicated.
But be informed that, the 30%  cost of the laptop will be taken from the PDA to offset the cost component of the teacher, remember that it was agreed on a cost-sharing basis between the Government and the Teacher at 70%/30% respectively.
