The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revealed that individuals who wish to get an appointment from the service must be willing to meet the recruitment and posting requirements as laid down.
According to the new directive issued by GES, candidates who do not meet the under-listed requirements will be expelled during the recruitment or postings process. See below the mandatory requirements for the current GES recruitment processes.
Mandatory Requirements needed for GES recruitment and Postings
- One must complete and pass all final year exams at the college of education
- One must pass NTC Licensure Exams
- Completing a mandatory National Service
- Be ready to work in an area where your services are needed
Considering the above requirements, college graduates and university graduates who meet them WILL be shortlisted or posted by the GES.
The GES recruitment portal can be accessed HERE. The portal lasts for a month and a half when it opens to accept new applicants.
However, there are additional requirements for the GES recruitment and posting process which must be noted. These documents and details are needed to complete the application process on the recruitment portal.
Kindly note that without these documents, the application process cannot be complete hence may deny one posting.
Additional Requirements for GES Recruitment Processes
- Biometric Birth Certificate
- SHS certificate (WASSCE/SSSCE)
- JHS Certificate (BECE)
- SSNIT/TIN Number
- NTC Licensure certificate
- Diploma/Degree Certificate
- NSS certificate
The diploma/degree and NSS certificates are distributed later to all trained teachers undergoing their mandatory national service in the nation.
