GES PROMOTIONS: Latest Update on teachers who applied for lower ranks
The Ghana Education Service (GES) opened the application window for teachers who qualified to be promoted to their deserving ranks. The exercise ended in July 2021 although some districts like the Bia West District are still accepting applications from qualified teachers. The information contained in this post is the latest update concerning this year’s GES lower ranks promotions.
The lower rank promotion covered teachers who were due to be promoted to the senior superintendent I and senior superintendent II grades. This did not only cover one year batch but two. Teachers and all GES staff who qualified for the said promotion are those who have been on the rank of senior superintendent II &I since 2017 or earlier.

Current information gathered by Educandghana.net reveals that the promotion letters for qualified GES lower ranks applicants are likely to out this month or earlier next month. However, this may differ in districts because the submission of a qualified list of teachers by the various district directors to the GES Headquarters differed in the time frame.
GES LOWER RANKS PROMOTIONS LETTER-WHAT TEACHERS MUST KNOW
Applicants are urged to note that in GES, after going through every promotion successfully, you are given a promotion letter to serve as evidence for auditing in case there is any. Persons are also urged to note that it is when one goes for an upgrade by virtue of his/her certificate that the GES no longer give letters. But substantive promotion that is based on long service and work output or exams comes with letters. It, therefore, means that in GES lower ranks promotions, teachers are issued promotion letters.
