GES to Release Promotion Exams Results this Month, Teachers to be Put on Scale June,2021.
In February 2021, qualified teachers in Ghana Education Service were shortlisted to write aptitude test for promotion to various ranks in the Ghana Education Service.
The ranks teachers are expected to be promoted to are as follows:
Assistant Director 2
Assistant Director 1
Teachers who wrote the aptitude test have spent over five years in their current rank in the service, a pass in the aptitude test will promote the teacher to the next rank in the service.
The scripts for the aptitude test have been marked successfully and results generated pending for financial clearance to put the successful applicants on their newly promoted ranks. Successful applicants will be automatically enrolled on to their newly promoted rank for their salaries to be adjusted to reflect their newly promoted scale and level in the service.
List of successful applicants will be released anytime soon on the Ghana Education Service promotion portal, successful applicants are expected to purchase promotion results e-voucher card via mobile money to be able to access their provisional promotion letters. Unsuccessful applicants are to re-sit for the examination next year.
The original promotion letters will be distributed to the successful applicants in their respective district and regional offices of Ghana Education Service.
Ghana Education Service aptitude test for promotion is the only means for a teacher to upgrade himself in terms of salary scale or take up a leadership roles like Assistant Headmaster, Headmaster and any other vacant position in the service. Teachers who fail in the promotion exams remained stagnant in the service and continue to take meager salaries. Each level a teacher is promoted to, attract 200- 300 Ghana cedis adjustment in salary. It’s every teacher’s dream to pass the promotion aptitude test.
