The National Teaching Council (NTC) is mandated to professionalize teaching in Ghana hence the introduction of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). On Thursday, 6th May, 2021, NTC organized the 6th GTLE across 26 centres nationwide. 18, 349 (male 9346 and female 9003) candidates sat for the exams. Two papers (Literacy and Essential Professional Skills) were written yesterday across all the 26 centres. Numeracy will be written today at exactly 9:00am.

The Registrar of NTC, Dr. Christian Addai-Poku visited some centres (Berekum College of Education and Bechem College of Education) in the Bono and Ahafo regions respectively yesterday as part of his monitoring duty. The Registrar was accompanied by Mr. Dennis Osei-Owusu (PRO, NTC).

The conduct at both centres were on a top notch. The Registrar encouraged the managers of both colleges to keep up the good work in order to make the whole exercise very fruitful.
