Here are the steps to linking your TIN to Ghana Card-Made Easy

The Ghana Revenue Authority has collaborated with the National Identification Authority (NIA) to merge Tax Identification Number (TIN) with the Ghana Card. This became effective at the beginning of this month, April 2021.

According to the Ghana Revenue Authority, this initiative which s mostly done n developed countries will help change the Ghanaian system.

Persons bearing the Ghana card are therefore obliged to link their TIN to their card. The information below are the various steps link the Ghana Card to the TIN.

STEPS IN LINKING YOUR TIN TO YOUR GHANA CARD

  1. Click HERE to log on to the official GRA portal
  2. Enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN) e.g., P00223495309
  3. Enter your TIN and your Ghana card PIN (NOTE: The Ghana Card ID has been indicated as PIN on the portal. Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-678765433-8)
  4. Enter a valid email and phone number
  5. Click on ‘SEND OTP’
  6. Check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA
  7. Enter code in the OTP box
  8. Proceed to link your TIN to your Ghana card

Lastly, individuals have to check their linking status by following these procedures

  1. CLICK HERE  
  2. Enter your TIN and your Ghana card PIN (NOTE: The Ghana Card ID has been indicated as PIN on the portal. Your Ghana PIN is usually written at the back of the card as GHA-678765433-8)
  3. Enter a valid email address and contact
  4. Click on ‘SEND OTP’
  5. Check your mail inbox to get a 6-digit code sent to you by GRA
  6. Enter code in the OTP box and press view status
