Here is what you need to know about the August 2022 CAGD Validation-COLA, GES Promotion.

The salary validation portal for August 2022 has now been activated by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD), enabling heads of management units to validate their workers.

This will make it possible for these employees to get their justly earned allowances and monthly salaries.

This, however, contradicts the information that the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) leadership shared, which stated that only the COLA for August would be paid.

However, it is crucial for employees, especially teachers, to be aware that the government and labor unions complied with their agreement on July 14, 2022, and legally paid the August 2022 COLA as well as the July 2022 COLA.

GES PROMOTION OF LOWER RANKS-2022

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has promoted some lower rank staff in the service to the senior superintendent I (SSI) rank this month (August).

The GES has previously indicated that the promotion processes of all lower-rank personnel will be completed in September 2022.

 It is therefore important for all persons who fall in this category to note that the service will continue with the promotion process until every qualified person is put on the right salary scale.
