Just In: Newly Posted Teachers in Jaman North District Demand for their Staff IDs

Newly posted teachers from the various public colleges of education in the Jaman North District are demanding their Staff Identification Numbers from their employer, the GES. The said newly trained have not been able to partake in the biometric registration due to the inability of the Ghana Education Service to generate their IDs.

Meanwhile, the biometric registration exercise in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions ended on Thursday, 1st April 2021. This has become problematic as victims cannot concentrate on the job.

However, information gathered by educandghana.net indicates that all newly trained teachers posted in the Bono Region have been given their staff IDs and have undertaken their biometric registration except for these in the Jaman North District. According to our sources, all efforts made by these newly trained teachers to get explanations from the IPPD coordinator have proven futile. The 2019 newly posted teachers in the Jaman North District are therefore calling on the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, and Ghana Education Service to come to their aid.
