The Ghana Statistical Service, census management is has revealed that Training of Field Officers will start on 31st May 2021 and the selection of applicants will commence in the coming weeks. Copies of the training materials for the 2021 PHC (presentations and Field Officer’s Manual) are available on the census website. Check below for a link to DOWNLOAD the material.
The GSS is however encouraging all prospective Field Officers to download these materials and study the key concepts and enumeration procedures. Selection of Field Officers for the Census exercise will be based on the mastery of the content of these training materials.
NEW UPDATE ON CALLING OR TEXTING APPLICANTS
The Ghana Statistical Service is urging all applicants to take note of the following. After applicants have applied for the position, they will either be texted an SMS message or will be called by their office line to rectify the availabilities of applicants. If an applicant is not texted or called, he/she will be invited for an interview with a certified and photocopies of certificates. The least certificate is the Senior High School Certificate.
Some applicants may not be called, texted, or called for an interview but may be invited for a workshop. All applicants will go for an interview with certified and photocopies of certificates. Those who have been texted should wait patiently till further notice, they’re working on step by step. Any applicant who has been called is done and should prepare for the interview or workshop.
REASON WHY GSS CALL APPLICANTS
The reason why they call is that some applicants may not be available during the exercise, though the applicant has applied for the position. In addition, they also call to confirm your availability because some applicants may choose an area far from where he or she comes from, but might face problems during the journey. They only want applicants to work at a nearby catchment area or an area not far from the applicant’s hometown.
