GES FURTHER STUDIES APPROVAL

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued new guidelines for approval for further studies. This mainly affects individuals who further their studies through Sandwich, Distance, Weekend, and Evening courses. The approval for the Post Diploma Bachelor of Education has been revised effective Tuesday, September 2021.

HOW TO APPLY FOR GES APPROVAL FOR FURTHER STUDIES ACCORDING TO THE NEW GUIDELINES

For in-service personnel to apply for further studies approval, the individual must follow the procedures listed below:

  • An applicant will apply will apply through the District/municipal or Metro Directors of Education to the Regional Director.
  • The Regional Directorate wil compile the details of all qualifying applicants to the headquaters using an attacehed template.
  • After the Director-General;s approval is given, the Regional Director will issue an approval letter to complete the process using an attached template. Howeever, applicants seeking for approval for furhter studies are urged to note that the programme to be offered must be an approved course as indicated in the approved courses for study leave.CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE GES FURTHER STUDIES APPROVED COURSES

In addition to the above, an applicant must have served satisfactorily on the current rank for a minimum of three (3) years before qualifying for a sandwich or distance program. Also, applicants are not ex[ected to use work time for course work and study assignments.
