NEW: GES revises academic calendar of SHS 3 students, sets a new reopening date
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revised the academic calendar for the final year senior high school students. Per the initial communique by the GES, Final year SHS students were supposed to report to school on the 7th of April, 2021 to continue preparation towards the 2021 West African Senior School Examination (WASSCE) which will be written between the months of September and October.
However, current information made available to educandghana.net indicates that management of GES after further deliberations with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has revised the academic calendar.
Therefore, the reopening for all SHS form 3 students has been rescheduled to 5th may, 2021. The new date applies to all schools both singe and double track.
According to GES, the new date however does not affect proposed instructional hours 1,080 prior to the WASSCE.
