NEWS IN: Teacher Trainees Allowance to be paid with arrears
The Secretariat of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) after an engagement with the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum has revealed that teacher trainees allowance would be paid duly with arrears.
A statement sighted by Educandghana.net indicates that the minister acknowledged receipt of concerns about the payment of allowances to students in the 46 public colleges of education. He assured the leadership of TTAG that he will engage the Finance Ministry for the arrears to be settled within the shortest possible time.
Meanwhile, the leadership of TTAG led by Dimbie Abdul Manan has assured all trainees that they will continue to engage the stakeholders for the 6 months arrears to be paid hence the need for students to calm down.
However, the association expressed its displeasure towards the decision taken by PRINCoF with regards to the feeding components. It, therefore, charged all TTAG executives to engage with their principals to demand what is due them.
