NTC Issuance of licence to in-service teachers: Ashanti Region is next

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has revealed that its officials will be heading to Ashanti Region to issue licences to all qualified in-service teachers. According to the NTC, it will finish issuing the licence to teachers in the Western North Region on the 26th of August, 2021. following their tentative schedule, the council is set to commence licencing in the Ashanti region on August 30, 2021.

The council has however urged all persons to watch out for the details in the movement plan which will be available latest by Monday, August 9. According to the directives given by the NTC, all professional teachers who are yet to register on the portal must do so before the commencement date whiles ensuring compliance with the above.

Additionally, teachers are to if one had their professional qualification certificate before 2018, they can register and upload the certificate together with other requisite documents on the portal. If they had their certificates after September 1, 2018, they would have to write and pass the licensure exams and quote their Ghana Teacher Licencing Examination (GTLE) index number on the portal.
