Promotion of Lower Ranks-Category of GES Staff Promoted in June/July 2022
The promotion of teachers at the lower rank at the Ghana Education Service (GES) has been partially effected as some junior staff have had an adjustment in their salaries.
As previously reported by Educandghana.net, the management of GES assured teachers at the lower rank that the expected months in which adjustments will be made are May, June, and July 2022.
The current information gathered indicates that after the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) June ESPV Validation Portal was opened, some validators from different management units have confirmed that payment has been effected as initially indicated by the service.
Some received their promotions in May, whereas others received them in June. It is therefore important to note that the first batch of junior staff will be promoted in July 2022.
Currently, we can confirm that some of the 2016 batch in the Tano South District of the Ahafo Region have received adjustments in their salaries due to the promotion. This also means the promotion is in batches.
It is important to note that some district directorates have commenced issuing promotional letters to qualified staff who have been promoted.
Lower ranked staff who qualify to be promoted to the above-mentioned subject are therefore urged to wait for the timeline issued by the Ghana Education Service.
