The Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Tamale metro has withdrawn a two mandatory workshop which was supposed to be organized for validators and heads of institutions within the public service.
According to the GES in collaboration with the Controller and Accountants General Department (CAGD), an amount of GH¢450 Cedis was to be paid by each participant. This generated an atmosphere of lamentations by the supposed participants.
A statement shared with Educandghana.net and signed by the Deputy Director of Human Resource Management at the Tamale Metro GES, Mr. Alhassan Kassim indicates that the workshop has currently been withheld till further notice.
“With reference to the letter GES/MEO/NR/MC dated May 14th,2021, I write to Withdraw the letter with immediate effect and to state that the training workshop has been nullified.
Should there be the need for such training members will be duly informed”, the statement added.
They have however apologize to affected persons for inconvenience this new development might cause.
