The Ghana National Teaching Council (NTC) has outlined the movement plan and itinerary showing dates, centres, and Metro, Municipals and Districts(MMDs) for the Teacher license issuance in the Western North region. Teachers are urged to study the movement plan and make themselves available at their respective centres. According to NTC, work starts at 8.00 am prompt each day.
However, various MMDs Directors of Education are to ensure that the List of teachers taking the licenses is made available at each center. Also, teachers are to come along with their documents to their respective centres. Additionally, various directors are to ensure the availability of Veronica buckets at the centres for handwashing.
Meanwhile, teachers who have not yet received their licence number should go back to the portal and do the following.
Ensure that all their details have been entered correctly and accurately on the portal.
Ensure that they click “save” after they have entered their details before clicking on “Next” until they get to the final stage of registration.
Ensure they have uploaded all required documents appropriately ie first appointment letter, First professional certificate, Gazette if name on certificate differs from what you keyed on the portal and any other relevant document required to be uploaded.
Ensure that name and other personal details are spelt correctly and accurately.
Teachers are also urged to comply with the above to ensure a smooth exercise devoid of significant challenges. All professional teachers who are yet to register on the portal to do so before the commencement date whiles ensuring compliance with the above. Individuals are to note that this exercise covers only PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS.
Teachers who had their professional qualification certificate before 2018 can register and upload the certificate together with other requisite documents on the portal. If they had their certificates after September 2018, they would have to write and pass the licensure exams, pass and quote their GTLE index number on the portal.
