Use class exercises and class test to assess students-GES directs heads and teachers
The Ghana Education Service has directed all heads and teachers of the basic schools across Ghana to assess pupils/students using exercises and tests conducted.

A statement signed by the Deputy Director of GES, Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, indicates that due to the initial directive by the service to use the first 8 weeks for recovery learning following the reopening of schools for the 2021 academic year, it has therefore taken a decision that there should not be any conduction of end of term exams for students at the basic school level, thus, from Kindergarten (KG) to Junior High School (JHS). Teachers and headteachers are therefore urged to assess their students by using the class test and class exercises that were conducted during the period of recovery.
